Sometimes you just need to be reminded of the basics. Normally I use checklists to go through at various stages of the design process.
Does it all still make sense? Is it still in line with the original objectives? Am I not forgetting the basics?
One of those basics is Nielsen & Norman’s “10 Usability Heuristics“, the other one definitely is Kolb´s Learning Styles.
So what is it all about? Different kind of users, different behaviors, so different usage routes are necessary in your product. Call it personas, call it learning styles or user styles.
A great checklist. Put yourself in the skin of these different kinds of users and check if you though of everything. If all done right: genius! If not: at least still time to solve it.
